The Stranger

The pavilion is part of a moving exhibition in Norway, starting at the Norskbarnes Museum in Stavanger. It is constructed as a piece that can be disassembled and reassembled for each new location.

The pavilion is clad with anodized aluminium, giving off a mysteriously reflective effect, entering the pavilion, visitors are greeted a sift surfaces of foam, walking along the winding path, ending up in the centre, where they will lie down on the foam and watch the video projection as part of the installation.

Installation Pavilion
2019, new build, delivered

collaboration with SAK, Hendrik Roels

The Stranger is a pavilion installation that is commissioned as part of a moving exhibition in Norway, starting at the Norskbarnes Museum in Stavanger. It is constructed as a piece that can be disassembled and reassembled for each new location.

The Stranger is clad with anodized aluminium, giving off a mysteriously reflective effect, entering the pavilion, visitors are greeted a sift surfaces of foam, walking along the winding path, ending up in the centre, where they will lie down on the foam and watch the video projection as part of the installation. What appears to be cold and confronting at first is filled with a welcoming interior, only if one ventures inside to get to know The Stranger.
